Dr. Maria Di Donato, head of the Achievement & Wellness Center in Yardley, Pennsylvania, success is measured by the number of people whose lives she has changed for the better. The Achievement & Wellness Center treats a wide range of life-altering conditions, including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, autism, bipolar, depression, learning disabilities, migraines, OCD/Tic & Tourette's, stroke, Parkinson's, and Reactive Attachment Disorder. Seeing people achieve a better quality of life is Dr. Di Donato's greatest satisfaction, and is committed to helping her patients accomplish this without the use of drugs.
Using state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures, the patient is evaluated to determine the best course of treatment, which often involves combining traditional psychotherapy, neurofeedback, and heart wave variability HRV, all of which are used to "reset" the brain and unlock its healing power without medications. Connectivity training, which improves processing, is particularly helpful in treating learning disabilities.
Dr. Di Donato was originally trained as a classroom educator and school psychologist. She has degrees in Education and Biology from Holy Family University, a Master's degree in School Psychology from Rider University, and a doctorate in School Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is also certified with BCIA in Neurofeedback.
In order to share her knowledge and advance the understanding of Neurofeedback as an alternative to medication for many disorders, Dr. Di Donato writes a column for several local journals.
